Platform Questions
Our standard policy is to release media to the client once payment is received. Our automated scheduling system captures payment at the time the shoot is scheduled. If we manually scheduled your tour, we will need payment before releasing the media. Our scheduling system provides an automatic refund if you cancel the shoot at least 3 hours before the appointment time.
To schedule a tour, create an account at NestedTours.com. Select ‘Order a Tour,’ or go to order.NestedTours.com to get started. Follow the step by step directions in our on-demand ordering system. When you start typing in an address, our system will automatically search Google and Zillow and pull in all of the relevant information. Click ‘Next,’ and you’ll be able to see all available tour packages for that listing. On the next screen you can select from all of the available times on the calendar. To save your spot on the calendar you will need to pay. Through our scheduling system you can reschedule your appointment or cancel. If you cancel your tour at least 2 hours in advance before the scheduled appointment time you will receive an automatic refund.
On a computer click the photo zip link or copy and paste it into your internet browser. On a Mac the photos zip will begin to automatically download. For Windows users select ‘Save’ to begin the download. Once the file has finished downloading: (Mac) Double click and the zip file will automatically unzip. (Windows) Right click and select ‘Extract All’ and select a new location to save the photos.
You can customize your flyer by clicking the ‘Edit’ button next to your tour under the ‘My Tours’ section of your account. Make the appropriate changes under the ‘Basic’ tab. The flyer uses the information you provide. Then, click ‘Update Tour’. Under the ‘Photos’ tab, the first 6 images in the tour are the photos used for your flyer. Once you have moved your 6 favorite images to the top, select the ‘Extras’ tab. Click ‘Update Flyer,’ and our system will automatically email you the latest version.
First, login to your Nested Tours account at order.NestedTours.com. Click the ‘Settings’ button on the left side of the page. Under the ‘Avatar’ subheading, click ‘Choose File.’ From there, you can navigate to and select any photo saved to your computer to use as your account’s picture.
Our YouTube videos take the arrangement of your photo tour and generates it into the video. To make changes to your YouTube video, first navigate to the desired tour. Select the ‘Photos’ tab and rearrange or delete any undesired images. Once you’re happy with the order of your photos, click the ‘Extras’ tab. Scroll down and click ‘Regenerate Video.’ It normally takes 5 to 30 minutes for a YouTube video to regenerate. You will receive an email when the new video has been uploaded to YouTube. You will also have access to the new video under the ‘Links’ section of the ‘Extras’ tab.
Virtual Tour Packages automatically come with every Photo Tour, Video Walk-Through, Aerial Photo, etc. This includes a branded and unbranded virtual tour, two customizable flyers, branded and unbranded YouTube slideshow videos, and a download link of all of your images. Your photos will automatically syndicate to Trulia and Zillow. We also provide an analytics system that records the traffic that your virtual tour generates. We display how many page views and which websites the views came from, giving you an edge when forming your marketing strategy.
Photo Tour Questions
Shoot times are based on the square footage or acres of a property. To determine the specific time required for a particular home, please visit order.nestedtours.com and enter the address. Ensure that the square footage and property acreage are accurate. Click on ‘Next’ and select the package to view the corresponding time duration. Click ‘Next’ again, and the system will automatically display the next available time and the corresponding duration.
Shoot times are based off of the square footage or acres of a property. To see the detailed time it will take for a specific home, go to order.nestedtours.com and type in any address. Our system will automatically gather all the info from Google and/or Zillow. Make sure the square feet and the property acreage is correct. Click ‘Next’ and select the package you’d like to see the time duration of Click ‘Next’ again, and it will automatically show you the next available time and the appropriate time duration.
The listing should be ready for photos at the time of the appointment. Our photographers can make suggestions as to what looks best, making minor adjustments. We don’t allow our photographers to move furniture, clean homes, or move personal items.
Our photographers introduce themselves before getting started with the shoot and get any needed details about shooting the home. Before taking interior photos, the photographer will quickly walkthrough the home adjusting blinds, curtains, and making sure fans are turned off, toilet lids are closed, and lights are on. While shooting, the photographer may make some suggestions, such as hiding trashcans from view or clearing.
Our standard turnaround time Monday through Friday is next day before 5pm. After our photographers have finished their shoots for the day, they will upload their images and send them to our professional in-house editing team. Our editing team does not work on Sundays, turnaround times for weekend shoots will be Monday before 5pm. We offer Priority Editing which will push your shoot to the front of the editing line and guarantees a turnaround time by next day before Noon. We also offer Same Day Delivery; the Photo Shoot must be scheduled before noon and we will deliver the photos by 8pm the same day.
During checkout you will be asked which images you would like to have virtually staged, we will have your photos ready the following business day before 5pm. If you schedule a Saturday shoot that includes virtual staging we will have your images completed by Monday before 5pm.
We will have your photos ready 24 hours after your shoot has been edited. This process takes some extra time rendering. If you schedule a Saturday shoot that includes virtual twilight we will have your images completed by Tuesday before 5pm.
How To Prep a Home for a Photo Shoot
Professional real estate photography plays a crucial role in attracting potential buyers. Well-organized, clean, and visually appealing photos can make a significant difference in generating interest and securing a successful sale.

Consider staging your home with a neutral and inviting aesthetic. Use appropriate furniture arrangements to highlight the flow of each room. Remove any items that might distract or take away from the main features of the space. You can also add small decorative touches like fresh flowers or tasteful artwork to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Pay extra attention to the main areas of your home: the kitchen, living room, bedrooms, and bathrooms. These are the spaces that potential buyers are most interested in. Ensure they are clean, well-organized, and staged appropriately. Don’t forget to capture any unique features or selling points, such as fireplaces or built-in bookshelves.
It’s best to remove personal items, including family photos, from view during the photoshoot. This allows potential buyers to envision themselves living in the space without any distractions. Opt for neutral artwork or decorative pieces instead to add visual interest.
Prioritize curb appeal by cleaning the exterior of your home, including windows, siding, and walkways. Trim any overgrown hedges or trees, and ensure that the lawn is well-maintained. Consider adding colorful flowers or potted plants near the entrance to create an inviting first impression.
Outdoor preparations: Enhance your property’s curb appeal by ensuring the exterior is in pristine condition. Trim the lawn, prune bushes and trees, and clear any clutter or debris. Consider adding outdoor lighting, such as landscape lights or accent lights, to highlight specific features like walkways or architectural elements.
Clean and declutter: Before the shoot, thoroughly clean and declutter all areas of your home. Remove personal items, excessive furniture, and any clutter that may distract from the focal points. Twilight photography relies on capturing a sense of openness and spaciousness, so tidy up and ensure each room looks its best.
Indoor staging and lighting: Create an inviting atmosphere indoors by turning on all interior lights, including lamps and accent lighting. This helps to balance the interior and exterior lighting during twilight. Check that all bulbs are working properly and consider using warm, soft lighting to create a cozy ambiance.
Window treatments: Pay attention to the window treatments as they will play a significant role during twilight photography. Open all curtains, blinds, and shades to allow the natural light and twilight hues to filter through the windows. If you have outdated or distracting window treatments, consider temporarily removing or replacing them for the shoot.

Video Walkthrough Questions
Once you purchase the Add-On: Video Walkthrough, you can expect to receive it the following day before 5pm. The video will be delivered to you via email, which will include a Vimeo link. From there, you can easily watch the video and share the link with others who may be interested in viewing it. In addition to watching and sharing the video through Vimeo, you also have the option to download the video and upload it to your preferred social media account. If you are a real estate agent, you can even link the video directly to your MLS listing, making it easier for potential buyers to see a full and detailed walkthrough of the property. After receiving your Pro Video Walkthrough, you will have one opportunity to provide us with detailed instructions for any changes you would like to see. To ensure we are aligned with your vision, please send us the changes you desire in written form via text or email. We will quickly incorporate your changes and send you the new edit. However, please note that any additional edits made beyond the first re-edit will incur an additional charge of $25 per change. So, please ensure that your feedback and instructions are as detailed as possible during your first re-edit to avoid any additional charges.
Your Pro Video Walkthrough will be uploaded to Vimeo, which is a video hosting platform. Once the video has been uploaded, you will receive an email containing the Vimeo link. You can use this link to view and share the video with others who may be interested in seeing it.
In addition to viewing and sharing the video through Vimeo, you also have the option to download the video in multiple resolutions including 4k high resolution. This will allow you to upload the video to your preferred social media platforms, such as YouTube, Instagram or Facebook, in order to reach a wider audience.
If you are a real estate agent, you can also link the Pro Video Walkthrough directly to your MLS listing. This will give potential buyers the opportunity to view a professional and high-quality video of the property before scheduling a visit.

Add-On: Video Walkthrough
YouTube
If your Add-On: Video Walkthrough receives a copyright claim for the music used YouTube will not remove your video, but may run Ads before it. We have music agreements set up, so the music rights holders can claim, and monetize user-generated content, making it unable to be taken down. YouTube cannot differentiate from someone who made a video vs under a license from someone using the track without one.
Social Media
If your Add-On: Video Walkthrough uses a copyrighted piece of music, Instagram may remove the video. Facebook may partially mute it. This occurs because those platforms do not support individual licenses, so it does not recognize the licenses we issue to our users. You can appeal to get your video back, but only if you use the originally licensed music we provided. If you are using your own music, you can only appeal if you own the copyrights.
Pro Video Walkthrough
All music we utilize for Pro Video Walkthroughs we license through Soundstripe. If you upload to YouTube or other Social Media platforms and they request the music license we can provide you with the appropriate documentation. Request an appeal and supply the documentation. Computer
- Click on the Vimeo link where your video is hosted.
- In the bottom right corner click the arrow pointing down towards a line.
- Select the resolution you want to download. 4k will be the highest.
- Click the downward arrow to begin the download.
- Once the download is complete you can share or upload to your desired website
Mobile
- Download the Vimeo mobile app.
- Create a free Vimeo account.
- Tap the Vimeo link where your video is hosted.
- In the middle right tap the 3 dot circular button.
- Tap the downward arrow: Save to Camera Roll.
- Select the resolution you want to download. 4k will be the highest.
- It will take a few minutes for the video to download. Tap the 3 dot button again to view the progress. It will also download in the background.
- Once complete, navigate to your photos app and your video will be ready for sharing.
After our photographers have finished their shoots for the day, they will upload the video footage and send it to our professional editing team. The editors will have your video walkthrough ready within 2 – 4 business days.
3D Tour Questions
Matterport 3D tours allow you to virtually explore a property from any angle. We use the Theta Ricoh V, a 14 megapixel 360 degree camera. As we scan a property, it generates a 3D model of the space. This allows you to view the home as floor plan, a “dollhouse,” and also take accurate measurements of the space.
Matterport Pro 3D Tours provide you with everything you receive with a standard Matterport 3D Tour and takes it to the next level. We use the Matterport Pro2 3D, an industry leading camera which captures 360 degree images as large as 134 megapixels! It offers professional features like “3D Sensing,” which uses infrared sensors with a 99% measurement accuracy. You can also export images up to 8092 x 4552 pixels, and you can export video at 4k resolution. With these scans, you can generate schematic floor plans, take accurate measurements of the space, and create technical assets, like OBJ files compatible with Autodesk, Revit, and Xactimate.
We will host your Matterport Tour for 6 months from the shoot date of your tour. After 6 months if you still want your Matterport tour to be live we will charge $5/month or $50 for 12 months for hosting. You can also create your own Matterport Account and we can transfer the scan over to your account and you can keep the scan for as long as you’d like.
- Zillow allows Matterport Tours to be directly added to a Zillow listing. To add it, email Zillow at AgentCare@ZillowGroup.com with the property address and the Matterport link. Zillow’s support team will add it to your listing on the backend of their system.
- We embed the Matterport on your NestedTours.com virtual tour page. You can use the unbranded virtual tour link to paste into the virtual tour link on the MLS for viewing.
- You can share the Matterport Tour directly to social media from the tour link. In the bottom right hand corner of the tour click the 3 dot button and share to your preferred social network.
Matterport 3D Spaces can be linked into your MLS listing with an MLS approved link that will be proved via email. The turnaround time for Matterport is typically the next day before 5 pm. Once you have the link, simply follow our MLS’s instructions for uploading media to your listing.
It’s worth noting that not all MLS systems support 3D virtual tours, so it’s important to check with your local MLS to confirm their requirements and guidelines. Additionally, some MLS systems may require specific file formats or sizes for virtual tours, so it’s important to ensure that your Matterport 3D Space meets these requirements before uploading it.
Zillow 3D interactive floor plans are digital representations of properties that allow potential buyers to navigate and explore the layout virtually. These floor plans provide a realistic and immersive experience, enhancing the listing’s appeal and helping buyers visualize the property’s spatial arrangement.
During the visit, our photographers will utilize advanced cameras or specialized 3D scanning devices to capture the dimensions and details of each room. Afterward, they will process the data to create the interactive floor plans.
The turnaround time for receiving Zillow 3D interactive floor plans can vary depending on the size of the property. Typically, you can expect to receive the completed floor plans within a few days to a week after the photographer’s visit.
Once the Zillow 3D interactive floor plans are delivered, they are typically not editable. However, you can communicate any specific requirements or preferences to the photographer before the shoot to ensure they capture the essential aspects of the property. Discussing your expectations and desired features in advance can help the photographer tailor the floor plans to your needs.
Cancellation, No Show, and Refund Questions
If a Nested Tours team member arrives at a shoot and no one is there to let them into the property, and if no other arrangements have been made for a lockbox or hidden key, there will be a 25% charge of the total amount of the shoot.
If you cancel your order a minimum of 2 hours before the scheduled time, you will receive a 100% refund. If you cancel your order less than 2 hours before the shoot time, you will receive a 75% refund.
If you are unhappy with your tour, we will first re-edit your photos. If you’re still dissatisfied, we will reshoot the home. Once you have gone through our Guarantee Policy Program and are still dissatisfied, you can get a refund within 30 days after the original appointment date. After 30 days, refunds will be given as a credit to your account for future orders.
If the home is not in a clean, show-worthy state, we have a $25 rescheduling fee. Use the checklist at NestedTours.com/Preparing to help prevent this from happening.
Every standard home Photo Tour comes with 1 free reshoot. This feature is designed for when the seasons change, the home owner/tenant moves out, the home staging has been updated, etc… To redeem this deal you must be a licensed real estate agent and within 12 months of the original shoot date. If you need an additional reshoot of the property after your 1 free reshoot or if it’s 12 months after the original shoot date a reshoot fee will be charged. There will be a reshoot fee for all other products/services.

If the issue cannot be resolved with a re-edit we will schedule a reshoot at no additional charge. Once you have gone through our Guarantee Policy Program and are still dissatisfied, you can get a refund within 30 days after the original appointment date. After 30 days, refunds will be given as a credit to your account for future orders.
At Nested Tours, it’s our mission to provide consistent, high quality work. Our photographers go through an in depth training curriculum in order to capture the best photos and videos of your listings. We have bi-monthly training sessions with each of our photographers to work on new techniques and critique them on their last 2 weeks of shoots.
We do not allow any of our professional photographers to pick up or move furniture. They are allowed to make suggestions, but we do not take on the liability of moving possessions. All of our photographers use high end, professional-grade camera equipment to provide consistent quality no matter which team member is taking the photos. We hold high standards for each and every piece of equipment our photographers use. After taking the photos or video they hand it off to our professional editing team.

For syndication to properly work, you will need all of the required information filled out within your Nested Tours virtual tour: Address, City, State, ZIP Code, SqFt, Price, MLS #, Year, Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Garages, and Lot Type. Login at NestedTours.com and navigate to the ‘My Tours’ section. Next to the appropriate address, click ‘Edit’ and fill in all of the needed information and click ‘Update Tour.’ It can take up to 24 hours for your tour to fully syndicate. However, Zillow and Trulia have created custom agreements with local MLS platforms for syndication and will sometimes override our syndication. In some select cases, they will not accept our syndication at all.
Photo Editing Questions
These basic photoshop edits are included with every photo tour, like: small spots or holes in walls, trash cans, people, pets, mirror and window reflections, basic spot fixing on the carpet, pet waste, etc. For more extensive photoshop work, we charge between $25 and $50 depending on the project. Extensive changes like carpet fixing or replacement, extensive wall correction, and changing wall or grass color all fall within the $25 to $50 price point. We offer 2 Free Sky Replacements as an add on to your photo tour. Or, you can select 10 Sky Replacements for $5.
Once your photos or videos have been captured, the photographer then hands off the footage to our team of professional editors. Our editors use the same editing techniques and software. No matter which editor edits them, you will always receive the same ‘Nested Look.’
